A vori (also spelled bhori or bori, and written as ভরি in Bengali) is a traditional unit of mass used exclusively for weighing precious metals in Bangladesh and eastern India. Equal to approximately 11.66 grams (0.411 ounce), the vori is the standard measure in Bangladeshi and Indian gold and silver markets.
